Generations of St. Aug. alumni and their family
and friends attended the 2012 annual St. Aug Family Reunion and
cookout including members from our most recent graduating
class of 2011 and the class of 2012. It was a beautiful day in
the park, shaded by the lush trees and greenery, and the Falcon
family spent time enjoying great food and company. You'll see the
intensity of participants as they engaged in a St. Aug trivia
contest, of which Mrs. Wendy Butler Richardson was first place
winner with 9 out of 10 correct. However, on this day, everyone was
a winner and collected a small prize. Look for our 2013 date and in
the meantime, we'll look forward to seeing you at our upcoming

In February your local chapter had the pleasure of hosting dinner on two
afternoons for students and administrators traveling to the Washington DC
area.

2007 Meet-n-Greet
with Class of 2010 |
On Friday October 19, 2007 during home coming
festivities the WDC-MAC-SAC members of the 2010 freshman class from the
Washington DC Metropolitan area to a meet-n-greet in the Office of Student
Services. The students were from a number of cities in Maryland,
Virginia and the District. We talked with over 40
students. It was an opportunity to introduce the students to our
chapter and find out how we can help make their matriculation smoother. The
students expressed that they were in need of information regarding
scholarships. As a result of our conversations, we've added a student
resources center to our website that at this time offers links to various
scholarships and job opportunities in the area. The students and
their families were also invited to our various chapter events throughout
the year, the holiday social in December and the Saint Augustine's College
Family Reunion and Festival that will be held on June 7, 2008. Before
ending, the WDC-MAC-SAC members presented the students with a college care
package filled with healthy snacks, hand sanitizer and other useful items. The
chapter members worked together to create the packages and enjoyed
presenting them to the students, who of course enjoyed receiving the
gifts.
