Greetings Fellow Falcon,
We're delighted to have you visit your local
chapter website
and look forward to meeting you soon. We have been working diligently
with our beloved Alma Mater, Saint Augustine’s College, to make the dream of
higher educational opportunities a reality for young people from our area
and across the country.
We are
excited about the upcoming opportunities to work with you, the Saint Augustine's
College administration and students to make this year even more productive
than previous years. As you read on you'll find information about the
various activities that will take plan during the rest of the year.
Each year we host our
annual Saint Augustine's College Family Reunion Cookout and Festival.
This year it was held on June 12, 2010, in Rock Creek Park. It's a great event attended by alums, college
administration, current students and local students who come to meet with
the college recruiter.
Our flagstone event, the Williams Jefferson Jackson Annual Honors
Banquet
will take place Friday October 15, 2010, La Fountaine
Bleu, Lanham MD. 8:00
p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
It is a time to celebrate the achievements of Saint Augustine's College
alums and those who work diligently on her behalf and an opportunity to
spend time together during an evening of dining and dancing, while raising
funds to benefit the college and its students. In 2009, we had the pleasure
of honoring five educators. Be sure to view the photos from the 2009
banquet. Remember, everyone can submit a nomination for this award.
